A JOURNEY THROUGH SOME OF THE MOST RENOWNED CULTURES OF MESOAMERICA: OLMECA, CUICUILCO, TEOTIHUACAN, TULA, AZTEC & MAYA.

This tour starts with the Olmeca culture, considered as the mother culture of Mesoamerica, followed by the civilization of Cuicuilco, corresponding to the Preclassic period in the Valley of Mexico. Afterward we visit the rooms of the great civilizations of Teotihuacan and Tula and then those of the Aztec empire and the Maya world. 

During this guided visit we will address various cultural topics such as social and political organization, economy, religion and cosmovision, funeral rites, calendars, writing and numbering. We will also talk about the linkages that existed between the different cultures and the hypothesis regarding the collapse of the civilizations. 

 

This tour is ideal for you if you want to get an integral historical perspective of the Pre-hispanic world and understand the main cultural practices shared by the Mesoamerican civilizations that distinguish them from other Cultural areas.
