The tour begins with an introduction to the history and culture of the Mesoamerican region, including its main historical periods, civilizations and the cultural features they shared.

We will then visit the highlights of the museum’s collection across several halls featuring some of the most important civilizations of ancient Mexico.

During this guided visit we will explore several cultural aspects, including social and political organization, economic systems, religion and worldview, as well as funerary practices, calendars, writing and numerical systems. We will also examine the relationships and interactions between the different civilizations, as well as the main hypotheses proposed to explain the decline and collapse of certain of them.
